Confronting Anti-Israel Attitudes on Facebook
The following is a confrontation via Facebook with a person who did not like my pro-Israel status update which supports Jewish housing in Israel. It is very important to speak plainly and with truth to counter anti-Zionism which is incredibly popular among far leftists who decry expressions of nationalism: Eyal FeldmanIsrael should build as many Jewish neighborhoods as they want and can and if the Arabs have a problem with it, there are 22 other Arab countries they can move to that outlaw any Jewish residence.
Eyal is right, as usual. The Palestinians want the issue more than they want a solution. I said this before, but there are claims from Mexico about much of the southwestern United States. We took it in war. Plain and simple. Had Mexico and America not gone to war there would still be a Mexican country far reaching to the Canadian border. What would happen if the president of Mexico said "stop building any homes in San Diego?" Would we listen? Of course not. And if a bigger country thumped them on the head like they were a kid it would be even worse.
Israelis have a right to live anywhere in Israel. Period. Name me a border in the world that is NOT the result of conflict or war and I'll give you a candy bar or something simple because it takes a very simple mind to think that Israeli apartments are "settlements' (as if they're putting up tents or living in trees like upset college students) and that the Palestinians have some kind of unique take on because they happen to want an issue.
I love the part about the other Arab countries that they could go to. The problem is not an Israeli one... the problem is an Arab one since no Arab country will take the Palestinians in either. OH and don't forget that these people voted for a terrorist organization to lead their nation in Gaza. The so-called blockade is happening from Egypt (an Arab country) because they distrust the Hamas and Palestinians. The only thing Israel is doing is protecting herself from the Hamas and those who would do harm to her citizens.
Imagine one rocket lobbed at the USA from Mexico or Canada. We'd crush them.
