Modelinia Exclusive: Donna Feldman Turns Bond Girl for Visa

My sister's Black Card commercial officially has well over 1 million views already and the buzz over Donna Feldman just gets louder and harder to ignore. Read this exclusive interview by Modelina, the model industry's top blog and click here to view the original article.
It’s not every day that a model gets to dress up in all black leather, ride a motorcycle, and jump out of a helicopter into a massive body of water. So upon viewing the new Visa Black Card commercial, Modelinia knew we had to chat with Donna Feldman about her Bond girl experience. Donna enjoyed the full action movie treatment while filming the commercial: a set in the South of France complete with super-luxe products including a pair of black Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses, a Ducati Monster 1100 motorcycle, a black MD-500 helicopter, and a Pershing 88-foot yacht. James Bond only wishes he had it as good.
You must have felt like a true James Bond girl with all the action going on in the new commercial!
One of my career goals has always been to land the “Bond girl” role so playing a strong powerful, sexy woman in an action packed commercial like this certainly gives me the best practice. This amazing  commercial made me feel like a true bond babe!
Had you ever been on motorcycle before filming the commercial? What was it like?
I had an experience once in my life on a motorcycle and it certainly wasn’t a Ducati Monster like the one shown in the commercial. This was a heavy-duty incredible machine!
Which scene was your favorite to film from the commercial?
My favorite scene would have to be the actual jump off the helicopter into the ocean. What a rush!  Never in my life would I have imagined the day that I would jump out of a moving helicopter and in a bikini of all things.
What do you like most about being on set/filming?
I love the creative process of being on set.  In addition to the girly part like getting dolled up in incredible wardrobe, hair, makeup, etcetera, my favorite part would have to be collaborating and hearing the vision that the director has in his or her mind and helping make that vision a reality.
How did you get your start in modeling?I got my start in modeling when I was studying fashion marketing/merchandising at FIDM in Los Angeles. I thought a good way to network with designers was to become a fit model for various clothing lines. That naturally led to clients and then agencies asking me to pose as a model in print work. Luckily hard work, determination and being business minded has helped me in my career and lately I have been busier than ever in the modeling world doing international campaigns, covers and catalogs.
You’ve done print and runway work as well as commercials and music videos, which is your favorite?
I also have acting and TV hosting under my belt which I never in a million years thought I would get involved in!  As a little girl I was painfully shy so nobody that knew me as a child could believe I chose a career that automatically makes you the center of attention. The reality is that I have always looked at modeling as a form of acting. I am always playing a new character with the hair, makeup, styling and art direction. As a model you are always evolving into a different person in a different scene. It’s hard to say which aspect of the industry I enjoy most, since I love each part of it,  but I have to honestly say that this new Visa Black Card TV commercial and print campaign is by far one of the most amazing projects I have been involved with. It’s not every day that I get to play the part of an adventurous woman who lives in a dream home living the dream life!

Jews outraged at Vatican scandal comparison

Rome chief rabbi says comparison 'in bad taste' while Vatican spokesman stresses statements made by pope's personal preacher 'not the line of the Vatican and of the Catholic Church'

Jewish groups around the world have reacted with shock after Pope Benedict's personal preacher compared attacks on the Church and pope over a sexual abuse scandal to "collective violence" against Jews.

Abuse Scandal
Pope apologizes to Irish sex abuse victims / Reuters
Benedict XVI announces formal Vatican investigation of Irish Roman Catholic dioceses, seminaries hit by abuse scandal. 'You have suffered grievously and I am truly sorry,' he says in unprecedented letter
Full story
"I am absolutely totally astounded by this. This is folly," said Amos Luzzatto, a former president of Italy's Jewish communities.

Rome chief rabbi Riccardo Di Segni, who welcomed the pope in the capital's synagogue last January said: "This is really in bad taste".

The pope's personal preacher, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, in a Friday sermon in St Peter's Basilica, said attacks on the Catholic Church and the pope over a sexual abuse scandal were comparable to "collective violence" against Jews.

Jewish leaders around the world used words like repugnant, obscene and offensive to describe the sermon, particularly, as Di Segni noted, it came on the day that for centuries Christians prayed for the conversion of the Jews, who were held collectively responsible for Jesus' death.

"How can you compare the collective guilt assigned to the Jews which caused the deaths of tens of millions of innocent people to perpetrators who abuse their faith and their calling by sexually abusing children?" demanded Rabbi Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the international Jewish rights group.

Cantalamessa, speaking with the pope sitting nearby, said Jews throughout history had been the victims of "collective violence" and drew comparisons between Jewish suffering and attacks on the Church.

"The use of stereotypes, the shifting of personal responsibility and guilt to a collective guilt remind me of the most shameful aspects of anti-Semitism," Cantalamessa quoted from the letter.

Damage control

A Vatican spokesman said the comparison "is absolutely not the line of the Vatican and of the Catholic Church".

This week's celebrations leading up to Easter Sunday have been clouded by accusations the Church in several countries mishandled and covered up episodes of sexual abuse of children by priests, some dating back decades.

Shaken by the crisis, the Vatican has accused the media of an "ignoble" attempt to smear the pope. Some reports have accused him of negligence in handling abuse cases in previous roles as a cardinal in his native Germany and in Rome.

Victims of sexual abuse also criticized Cantalamessa.

"This ridiculous attempt to hide the crimes of the (Church) hierarchy inside of Jewish suffering shows just how far this Pope seems willing to go to stop the truth from emerging," said Peter Isely, a spokesman for the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP).

The Vatican has denied any cover-up over the abuse of 200 deaf boys in the United States by Reverend Lawrence Murphy from 1950 to 1974. The New York Times reported the Vatican and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict, were warned about Murphy but he was not defrocked.

The spiritual head of the Anglican Church, Archbishop Rowan Williams, said on Saturday the Catholic Church in Ireland had lost all its credibility over its response to the sex abuse scandals after an apology by the pope abuse in Ireland that disappointed victims.

Mile High Club here I come!

Ever thought of becoming a member of the Mile High Club? Boy Butter (I know, right?) has now made it that much easier to join the erotic elite with the release of the brand’s new 3 oz., TSA-approved tubs of personal lubricant, and smaller sample packets of its other lines, that passengers can bring on-board an aircraft.

"I created the TSA-approved tubs because I wanted people to have an easy way to carry lube wherever they travel," says Boy Butter creator Eyal Feldman (above). "Lube can be expensive, and it often comes sold in big tubes. These tubs are perfect for travel, and can fit in any carry-on bag."

At only 24 years of age, New York entrepreneur Eyal Feldman set out to create a personal male lubricant that would be as slick and long-lasting as silicon-based lubricants and clean up as easily as those that are water-based. He found his answer in a vegetable oil and silicone fusion-based product he termed Boy Butter, which became an instant hit and has steadily gained mainstream popularity, earning the brand coverage in places such as 'Saturday Night Live,' 'Tonight Show with Jay Leno,' 'MadTV,' 'Comedy Central's Daily Show' and 'Talk Soup' on E!

Passover at the White House

In what has become an annual tradition, President Obama will take part in a private Seder at the White House this evening to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover.
The unlikely annual event began back in April 2008, the New York Times reports, when a group of low-level staff members gathered for an improvised Seder at a Pennsylvania hotel. To their surprise, then-candidate Obama, who is Christian, showed up and joined in.
Last year, with Mr. Obama in the White House, the president took part again. This time there were a few more in attendance, and Malia and Sasha Obama did the traditional duties of Jewish children -- asking questions about the purpose of the celebration and searching for matzo hidden in the furniture. (The picture above comes from last year's Seder.)
This evening's event, which will take place in the Old Family Dining Room, will reportedly include about 20 guests, including top aides David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett as well as lower-level staffers. The guests will offer prayers and tell the traditional biblical story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery.
Passover begins at sunset Monday. The Seder feast grew out of a Bible passage instructing Jews to tell the story of their exit from Egypt.
