Op-ed: Foreign minister’s plan better than current notion of two-state solution

All those people who are now calling for Avigdor Lieberman to quit, or be fired, should know that we’ve seen similar conduct by previous foreign ministers. For example, once upon a time we had Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, who worked behind his prime minister’s back and formulated the contemptible Oslo Accords without the PM’s knowledge.

I cannot recall what all those people who currently seek Lieberman’s head thought about Peres’ abovementioned move, undertaken with the help of his adjutant, Yossi Beilin. However, I’m certain that they did not demand PM Rabin fire the two, despite the diplomatic folly they dragged him into.

I have one question for all those people who now seek to crucify the foreign minister for daring to present his plan(and keep in mind this is no more than a plan at this time) – did they stop for a moment to examine it? That is, perhaps it includes some measure of logic?

In fact, what did Avigdor Lieberman tell us? The “Palestinian people” wants, in practice, a “Palestinian state” clear of any Jews (in German this was called Judenrein) in Judea and Samaria, another such state in the Gaza Strip, and yet another one, similar to the other two, across the Jordan River.

At the same time, the Palestinians (who were not recognized as a people by the nations of the world until 1967) want the State of Israel to be a bi-national state, or a multicultural one (to borrow a phrase from the anarchists from the leftist anti-Zionist camp) that would be home to a very large Arab majority, which is already demanding cultural autonomy, as well as to hundreds of thousands of refugees (and possibly many more) who shall return to their villages and to the communities they left in 1948.

This is, in fact, what Avigdor Lieberman seeks to avert.

Clearly marked borders

If there is no solution, he says, let’s turn the two states – theState of Israel and Palestine – into nation-states that are only home to the nationalities they were established for. Such solution is only possible if we see the tradeoff of populated areas. The Triangle area in northern Israel, for example, with its land and homes and residents, would be handed over to the Palestinian Authority, while areas such as Gush Etzion, Ariel, and Maale Adumim, with their residents, shall shift into the State of Israel’s territory.

We shall see clearly marked borders. All the Jews would be on one side of the border, and all the Arabs would be on the other side. A homogenous Jewish parliament without Ahmad Tibi and Taleb al-Sana. What could be bad about that?

I’m not saying this should be the solution, or that there are no other possible solutions, such as one federation from Sea to River that has two houses of parliament, a Jewish and an Arab one, as is the case in other places in the world.

I don’t know what the best, safest solution is for us Jews, who already experienced quite a few pogroms and Holocausts, not only at the hands of the Muslims but mostly at the hands of European nations. Yet I’m certain about one thing: The “solution” being offered today, premised on the current “two states vision,” would bring about the Jewish state’s demise within a very short period of time.

No security arrangements would prevent the Iranians, for example, from deploying missiles on the eastern boundaries of central Israel towns. They already did it in the Gaza Strip and in southern Lebanon after the IDF foolishly withdraw from there.

Ahmad Tibi and Taleb al-Sana will apparently be happy with such solution. But we must not agree to even hold a real public debate on issues that are crucial to our existence. And so, automatically disqualifying Avigdor Lieberman is a move that must not succeed.

Boy Butter's Eyal Feldman Presents $1,750 Check to JHA

Read original posting from Mile High Gay Guy
On Monday, Sept. 20, entrepreneur Eyal Feldman (pictured right) - the creator of Boy Butter brand personal lubricants - presented a check for $1,700 at the Jewish Home for the Aging in Los Angeles to the JHA's Walk of Ages chair Shelly Markman (pictured left). The money was raised during a 6-mile marathon swim that Eyal completed by himself across Israel's largest freshwater lake, the Sea of Galilee, on July 15. The swim took 3.5 hours. The other half of the money raised was donated last month to SAGE, Services and Advocacy for Gay Elders.

Ann Coulter and the Gays made love last night at Homocon

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the gay conservative group GOProud's "Homocon" event held at the beautiful Union Square apartment of famous billionaire businessman Peter Thiel. I was invited by my former college roommate, Steve Yuhas who is a gay conservative radio talk show host and columnist based in Southern California. Steve and I arrived with famous conservative gay porn producer and political activist, Michael Lucas. We hobnobbed with many famous conservatives both gay and straight but the highlight of the event was the headliner, Ann Coulter who is very pleasant, very thin, very cute and very funny. She had people laughing with her stand up routine/political speech and held court beautifully all evening long. All in all it was a fun night and I think it was pretty successful. I always thought that if you are a gay conservative you are a rare breed, not as rare as a unicorn but pretty darn rare.

The Male Couple Blog: The Butter Boy Interview

Eyal Feldman is a 32 years old succesful entreprenaur that gives pleasure and happiness to a lot of gay men all over the world with a product called "Boy Butter", something that maybe you are missing right now. We contacted to Eyal Feldmand when he was in LA visiting his family for his father's birthday but he was very nice and gave us a time to talk about his life, producs and much more...

Hello Eyal, thanks for saying yes to this interview and I need to confess that even when I know about your product I didn't try it before so I think I am missing something big and good…
Yes, everyone needs a little “Boy Butter”.

Why did you call your brand lube “Boy Butter”? When and how did you decide to create this product for gay people?

I called my brand “Boy Butter” because it was a very funny name and because it sounded like a gay lubricant. I am a Gay man and I wanted a lubricant that was good for gay sex, and creams are the best for that. Everyone men and women can and do use my product but it was a concept that I dreamt up to take a sexual product and present it as a food product to remove the stigma or shame associated with adult products.

What did you find out in your personal research when trying another kind of products or when talking or interacting with other people about lubs. Before to have in your mind the creation of these products how many kinds of lubs have you ever tried that was unsatisfied for you?
I was unsatisfied at the time with the other lubricants on the market that were popular. Usually there was water based lubricant gel which is made specifically for women, that is why when men use them by themselves or with other men, it is sticky and messy and is not enjoyable but it is condom safe. The other popular lubricants were silicone based lubricants which lasted too long and stained everything sheets and clothes and floors. I wanted to bring back the cream form lubricant because they are best for the male body and sex in general, creams are perfect right in the middle they last very long lasting, feel natural, and wash off with water.

When it was the first time did you use a lubricant? How did it work? Was a pleasant experience?
The first time I used the lubricant which was to become Boy Butter was in 2002, I found a company who made a coconut oil based cream lubricant which I tried when masturbating, it was so amazing and felt so good that I immediately used it with other hot boys who wanted to help me do "research" .The great thing about the formula is that it is thick and creamy like butter and stays exactly where you put it, does not get messy and the boys and I loved using it together and by ourselves, I would say all the research I ever did and still do feels incredibly pleasurable.

From your experience with the hot boys that wanted to help you to do "research" how it was the process when masturbating with the product? I bet it was a lot of fun even when making business. The process of sex is different every time you have it and with different people if you are topping or bottoming. The great thing about my product was that it allowed you to enjoy every aspect of penetration or just masturbation in what felt like a natural way. Many lubricants can feel unnatural and uncomfortable at times, but my creamy “Boy Butter” made it feels almost like we were not using anything at all really. It was just the perfect amount of lubrication and friction.

How it was your personal sexual discovery being gay? How did you deal with your religion since you are Jewish?

I came out very early in life, at 16 years old I came out to my parents first, I was raised in an Israeli and Jewish environment in Southern California and it was a very liberal and progressive area and being Gay was not really considered bad or wrong. I think my coming out experience was a wonderful dream and I could not have had it any better, especially hearing heartbreaking stories about the difficulties of others. I think it was easier to be Gay and Jewish because our culture is more liberal generally, even the religious people do not have problems with Gays very much, it is a part of life and people love their children and the best thing in the Jewish religion is that there is no hell and no big focus on sin at all.

I read you were to college and studied History and I bet you learnt a lot but even when you don't use your degree helped you with your business to understand other people’s culture.
History has helped me in the sense of knowing what people in the past used lubricants or sexual aides. “Boy Butter” or most cream lubricants are derived from the ancient German practice of those who used butter for cleaning, grooming, or sex. Just like the Ancient Romans used olive oil for cleaning, grooming and sex. History helps me to understand who and how people think the way they do and allows me to connect with them in a better way and understand their needs. My degree helps me only indirectly.

And how it was your contact with sexuality? Did you use to see magazines or use porn? How it was you’re growing up like a gay man in a big gay community like LA?

I did use and see porn, and still do today sometimes; it turns me on and makes me wanna use my product. I was lucky to grow up gay in LA cause it is a big, liberal city and it makes it easier for the gay man, to have places to go like, bars, clubs, cafes, a real community. Now I live in NY and it is just as great.

You are the image of “Boy Butter” in other words Eyal Feldman is El Chico Mantequilla as long as you appear in every add or publicity, did you decide to make in that way so people could identify easier with the product? I use myself because people connect better with the person who actually makes the product and sells it publicly, it is more intimate and excited for them to use it when they connect me so closely with my products.

Everybody that buy your products or go to your ads or publicity can find a very sexy, hot and attractive guy; do you feel about yourself in that way? How much do you train, what do you to be in shape? I exercise a lot, mostly lifting weights and a lot of swimming, it's important for me to be fit and in shape, because I am my own model and it adds to the connection and the marketing to people.

Which one is the part of your body you like best and the one is more attractive for other men? I think my height is the most attractive aspect; I am 2 meters tall or 6 foot 7 inches that dominates a lot.
Did you think in your past maybe to be a model like your famous and beautiful sister and supermodel Donna Feldman?  I never wanted to be a model like my sister, but I have no problem modeling for my business since I see it as being one part of my work.

What does it mean for you to be a successful entrepreneur?  It means having a business that makes money and continues to grow and change and allow me freedom and independence.

Something is very attractive and colorful are the container and it looks like a food product, what did you find when testing with the clients?
I never tested it with clients, my husband would kill me. But people like the packaging and love using the product; it really is an amazing lubricant.

You have the chance to interact with your customers by Facebook, do you have always in mind their suggestions or comments for new products? Do you have any special or particular anecdote? I
take people's suggestions in mind, but usually I make the final decisions, sales usually are the best barometer of how a product does. There is always the joke of a man who leaves his Boy Butter tub out in his bedroom when he goes away on vacation for the weekend; he lets his parents use his apartment while he is away. When he returns he finds his Boy Butter tub in the refrigerator with pieces of toast in it.

What is the wildest sex experience did you have using your own personal lube?
The wildest is before I was married, there were a couple sex parties, but I do not kiss and tell :), you will have to use your imagination.

Do you have a team working with you or are you the person that is all the time developing the ideas, marketing and promotion?
I do most of the thinking about the product, but my lovely assistant Audrea who is my bookkeeper and my only employee helps a lot when it comes to sharpening my ideas of products and marketing.

I know you have been travelling to Europe or around USA to promote “Boy Butter”, how it was the experience? I love travel and my job allows me and pays for me to travel to places where my product sells or to explore new markets, many times I work a booth at a trade show or street festival and those are my favorite because I can meet interesting and exciting new people and spread the butter.

Do you think that Israel, your born country, is friendlier, tolerant and concern about gay rights that USA? What do you feel is the big difference between both societies? Israel is similar to the United States in many ways, it is much smaller, about the size of New Jersey, and only a little more than 7 million people, but it is an ancient land and culture but it is still a young country. Being Gay there is easy like in the US but if you are very religious or conservative it can pose issues with the family, but there are a lot of freedoms that you cannot find all over the world, especially in the Arab cultures and countries in the neighborhood. Being Gay is not such a big deal, it is just part of life and society celebrates it to an extent.

Do you find many differences between the gay scene in LA and NY?
NY is bigger and has more gay people, LA is more relaxed and spread out, they are both exciting gay community’s but NY has a much more intense energy while LA is more laid back and the weather is a lot better.

How often do you travel to Israel, I know that one of the most friendly gay cities in the world is Tel Aviv, how is to party in there, wildest than LA? I am in Israel once or twice a year, the gay life and parties are more fun than in the US I think, they have an excellent scene and really hot boys, a lot to do all the time, many events.

Are you related or close to some kind of gay Jewish groups? I volunteer with SAGE which is an elderly gay organization, it is not Jewish but when I lived in Los Angeles I volunteered for the Jewish Home for the aging which is for very elderly Jewish people to live. I am active in elderly organizations whether they are Jewish or Gay or whatever.

I see you are involved with some social causes and activism like to help fundraiser for LGBTT organizations, how often do you participate in those activities?
I volunteer throughout the year to visit old gay people in their homes, but every summer I do a marathon swim across a large body of water around the world and raise money for those organizations through having family, friends and strangers sponsor my swim.

What do you do when you are not working in “Boy Butter”? What are your favorite sports, books, movies? When I am not working, I like to travel, swim, exercise at the gym, I read a lot of books, mostly fiction and non-fiction, astronomy and science are of great interest to me lately and I find them fascinating. I also love going and seeing movies, especially with my hot husband, even though we don't always have the same taste in movies.

Do you have any gay icons you admire? I admire Alexander the Great, who was a young Gay man who ruled the world, who doesn't want that?

We know you are in a LTR and partnered since five years ago how it was your love story, how you guys make it work your relationship? What advices can you give to the readers? We make it work by not opening up the marriage to sleeping with other guys, we work hard on being monogamous, and that makes it special and makes it last longer and stronger. That is my secret, find someone you love and make the love stronger over time.

What do you recommend to young people to live their lives the fullest and don’t read heartbreaking stories about the difficulties of others?
Life goes up and down, but most of us are blessed to be healthy and happy, and sometimes life can be hard, but usually it is to teach you a lesson, and if you learn the lesson, life can become good again and even better.

Your products are used by porn studios and gay porn stars, have you ever talked with them about the product?
I always support porn or regular movies for using my product, it is a strong gay novelty product and it looks great on film, TV or videos.

In so many ways lub is related to health and HIV, do you think HIV is still a stigma for gay people and do you think young people is more conscious than before about their health? HIV has moved from a dangerous life threatening disease to a more chronic ailment, I think it is better to be and stay negative, but it does not have the same stigma that it had 20 or more years ago before the medications that would save people’s lives.

Do you think Obama's government is going to make gay marriage a federal law? No, he will not do that because it will cost him his presidency, I think the individual states will decide for themselves and the Supreme Court is where it will likely take place if it happens federally.

Have you ever heard about my country Peru where we still can't enjoy the pleasure of a personal lub like Boy Butter and only women's lub?
I know you are planning a travel and visit us next year. I have heard of Peru and when I lived in Spain I knew many beautiful boys from Lima, when I do come I will try and help improve the lubricant choices out there.

What are your next projects professional and personal goals? Well this year my business has grown 30% and I expect the growth to continue next year as well, because we have been around for almost 8 years and we keep coming out with more and different exciting new products.

Gala Moroccan-Israeli themed 60th Birthday Extravaganza for Amos Feldman

If you were not lucky enough to get on the invite list to the most talked about birthday bash at the Feldman family estate in Hidden Hills last night, don't fret I'll fill you in on some details and include some funny photos. The out of control fun started around 7:30 pm and was attended by the who's who of family, friends and loved ones celebrating my father, Amos Feldman on his 60th, mazel tov. The Feldman home and backyard was turned into a lovely Moroccan themed wonderland with an open bar and delectable treats on buffet as far as the eye could see. The catering was to die, and the live singer and musician were carrying the party to unimaginable heights of ecstatic celebration.

Photos:
Here is the lovely backyard right before the party Sunday night
Candlelit pool area, certainly set the ambience.
The party is starting to fill up, VIP's everywhere already.
The music was great, you couldn't help but boogie.
Lovely couple Dan and Miri finishing their river dancing with the wildly impressed Donna clapping for a third encore performance.
Sisters Miri and Donna cracking up on dance floor
Donna and I celebrating dad's 60th
Uh oh, I am really fake drunk in this photo, watch out.
(btw, does this Martini glass make me look petite?)
I love birthday cake! Thank god they didn't put all 60 candles on it.
I guess he likes poker.

The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes

The wind was a torrent of darkness upon the gusty trees,
The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,
The road was a ribbon of moonlight looping the purple moor,
And the highwayman came riding--
Riding--riding--
The highwayman came riding, up to the old inn door.

He'd a French cocked hat on his forehead, and a bunch of lace at his chin;
He'd a coat of the claret velvet, and breeches of fine doe-skin.
They fitted with never a wrinkle; his boots were up to his thigh!
And he rode with a jeweled twinkle--
His rapier hilt a-twinkle--
His pistol butts a-twinkle, under the jeweled sky.

Over the cobbles he clattered and clashed in the dark inn-yard,
He tapped with his whip on the shutters, but all was locked and barred,
He whistled a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there
But the landlord's black-eyed daughter--
Bess, the landlord's daughter--
Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair.

Dark in the dark old inn-yard a stable-wicket creaked
Where Tim, the ostler listened--his face was white and peaked--
His eyes were hollows of madness, his hair like mouldy hay,
But he loved the landlord's daughter--
The landlord's black-eyed daughter;
Dumb as a dog he listened, and he heard the robber say:

"One kiss, my bonny sweetheart; I'm after a prize tonight,
But I shall be back with the yellow gold before the morning light.
Yet if they press me sharply, and harry me through the day,
Then look for me by moonlight,
Watch for me by moonlight,
I'll come to thee by moonlight, though hell should bar the way."

He stood upright in the stirrups; he scarce could reach her hand,
But she loosened her hair in the casement! His face burnt like a brand
As the sweet black waves of perfume came tumbling o'er his breast,
Then he kissed its waves in the moonlight
(O sweet black waves in the moonlight!),
And he tugged at his reins in the moonlight, and galloped away to the west.

He did not come in the dawning; he did not come at noon.
And out of the tawny sunset, before the rise of the moon,
When the road was a gypsy's ribbon over the purple moor,
The redcoat troops came marching--
Marching--marching--
King George's men came marching, up to the old inn-door.

They said no word to the landlord; they drank his ale instead,
But they gagged his daughter and bound her to the foot of her narrow bed.
Two of them knelt at her casement, with muskets by their side;
There was Death at every window,
And Hell at one dark window,
For Bess could see, through her casement, the road that he would ride.

They had bound her up at attention, with many a sniggering jest!
They had tied a rifle beside her, with the barrel beneath her breast!
"Now keep good watch!" and they kissed her. She heard the dead man say,
"Look for me by moonlight,
Watch for me by moonlight,
I'll come to thee by moonlight, though Hell should bar the way."

She twisted her hands behind her, but all the knots held good!
She writhed her hands till her fingers were wet with sweat or blood!
They stretched and strained in the darkness, and the hours crawled by like years,
Till, on the stroke of midnight,
Cold on the stroke of midnight,
The tip of one finger touched it! The trigger at least was hers!

The tip of one finger touched it, she strove no more for the rest;
Up, she stood up at attention, with the barrel beneath her breast.
She would not risk their hearing, she would not strive again,
For the road lay bare in the moonlight,
Blank and bare in the moonlight,
And the blood in her veins, in the moonlight, throbbed to her love's refrain.

Tlot tlot, tlot tlot! Had they heard it? The horse-hooves, ringing clear;
Tlot tlot, tlot tlot, in the distance! Were they deaf that they did not hear?
Down the ribbon of moonlight, over the brow of the hill,
The highwayman came riding--
Riding--riding--
The redcoats looked to their priming! She stood up straight and still.

Tlot tlot, in the frosty silence! Tlot tlot, in the echoing night!
Nearer he came and nearer! Her face was like a light!
Her eyes grew wide for a moment, she drew one last deep breath,
Then her finger moved in the moonlight--
Her musket shattered the moonlight--
Shattered her breast in the moonlight and warned him--with her death.

He turned, he spurred to the West; he did not know who stood
Bowed, with her head o'er the casement, drenched in her own red blood!
Not till the dawn did he hear it, and his face grew grey to hear
How Bess, the landlord's daughter,
The landlord's black-eyed daughter,
Had watched for her love in the moonlight, and died in the darkness there.

Back, he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky,
With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high!
Blood-red were his spurs in the golden noon, wine-red was his velvet coat
When they shot him down in the highway,
Down like a dog in the highway,
And he lay in his blood in the highway, with the bunch of lace at his throat.

And still on a winter's night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,
When the moon is a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,
When the road is a gypsy's ribbon looping the purple moor,
The highwayman comes riding--
Riding--riding--
The highwayman comes riding, up to the old inn-door.

Over the cobbles he clatters and clangs in the dark inn-yard,
He taps with his whip on the shutters, but all is locked and barred,
He whistles a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there
But the landlord's black-eyed daughter--
Bess, the landlord's daughter--
Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair.

A simple explanation for why Jews are not for Jesus

As we approach Yom Kippur, Rabbi Joseph Telushkin—author of the Nextbook Press’sHillel: If Not Now, When?—answers questions submitted by Tablet Magazine readers.
photo: Rabbi Telushkin

I am a conservative Christian. I’ve come to realize that I do not know why the Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah. I sincerely would like to understand. I’m quite sure that there is no simple answer to this, but if you could point me in the right direction that would get me started.
From Judaism’s perspective, Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies and therefore is not regarded as the Messiah. The best-known of the prophecies concerning the messianic days is that “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4). Since world peace must accompany the Messiah, and world peace (or, for the past 2,000 years, anything remotely approaching it) has not come, clearly the Messiah has not come either. In addition, Jewish tradition teaches that the Messiah will enable the Jews to lead a peaceful and independent existence in Israel. This, too, was not achieved by Jesus. One of the greatest rabbis of the Talmudic era, Akiva, believed that the second-century Jewish warrior Bar Kochva was the Messiah, and that he would fulfill in particular the messianic mission of restoring Jewish sovereignty. But when Bar Kochva’s revolt against the Romans failed, Akiva recognized that he could not have been the Messiah (even though he was still regarded as an essentially righteous person).
Though it has been apparent for almost 2,000 years that the messianic days of peace have not arrived, Christians still assume that Jesus was the Messiah. How do they explain this? By arguing that there will be a Second Coming, during which Jesus will return to Earth, and fulfill the messianic functions originally expected of him. For Jews, however, this argument is unconvincing, since the idea of a Second Coming is nowhere found in the Hebrew Bible (what Christians refer to as the Old Testament). This idea seems to have been unknown to Jesus as well, since the New Testament cites him as telling his followers that some of them will still be alive when all the messianic prophecies will be fulfilled (see Mark 9:1 and 13:30). I would guess that the idea of a second coming was formulated by later Christians to explain Jesus’ failure to fulfill the messianic prophecies. In short, from Judaism’s perspective, to call someone who does not bring about the messianic era the Messiah does not make sense.

Young Israelis are moving to Berlin in droves

Growing community of Jews see the city from which Hilter unleashed the Holocaust as a place of freedom, tolerance, and an anything-goes spirit

BERLIN — Nirit Bialer, granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, welcomes listeners in Hebrew to a one-hour radio show of music, talk and interviews. The setting isn't her native Israel but a radio station in the heart of the German capital — and hundreds of Israeli Berliners are tuning in.

The city from which Hitler unleashed the genocide of six million Jews is now attracting a small but growing community of Jews from Israel for whom it embodies freedom, tolerance, and an anything-goes spirit.

"Berlin has become a real magnet for Israelis — everybody wants to move here," said Bialer, 32, whose Friday noon "Kol Berlin," Hebrew for "the voice of Berlin," started three years ago and is something of an institution for young Israelis in Berlin.

Nobody knows exactly how many Israelis have moved here in recent years; unofficial estimates suggest 9,000 to 15,000 — far fewer than the 120,000 Jews who lived in Berlin before the Nazis came to power in 1933.

My Pergamon Museum Tour in Berlin

The Pergamon Museum is a fantastic museum in Berlin that consists of three submuseums: the Collection of Classical Antiquities (Antikensammlung), occupying the architectural halls and the sculpture wing, the Museum of the Ancient Near East (Vorderasiatisches Museum) and the Museum of Islamic Art (Museum für Islamische Kunst). With specialities like these, this is one of the best places in Germany to see religious and historical art.

Check out my photos from the museum tour.

Shana Tova from Berlin, Jewish New Year hits 5771

I have had a great several days enjoying Berlin, visiting sites, friends and the general relaxation. It is definitely interesting to be in Germany over a major Jewish holiday. I wish everyone a happy and sweet New Year, Shana Tova in the jewish year of 5771

Here are some photos from the past few days:

Stolperstein or Stumbling Blocks

This is a Stolperstein or Stumbling Block next to my flat in Schoneberg
where I am staying, it is a 2 minute walk from me on Martin-Luther-Str. 11, It reads:
Here Lived
Fanny Wachtel, Born 1898, Deported 1939,
Murdered in Auschwitz
These are one of the most touching Holocaust memorials in my opinion that I have come across. They are 4" brass cubes or (10 x 10 x 10 cm) set in a concrete base and then embedded in sidewalks in front of the former residences of the victims arrested and deported from their homes. Each stolperstein is engraved with the name of a victim: a Jew, a gypsy, a homosexual, a euthanasia victim – anyone the Nazis felt did not deserve to live. Each plaque begins with the same words: “here lived…” followed by the name, date of birth, year of deportation, the camp, and the fate of the victim, if known. These Stolperstein are the work of a Cologne artist, Gunter Demnig. Mr. Demnig began this project in 1993 with an exhibition of 200 plaques for Sinti and Roma (gypsy) victims in the Atoniter Church in Cologne. “The immensity of my idea,” said Demnig, “to lay these stones for the victims of the Holocaust all over Europe. As of May 15, 2010, there are over 22,000 Stolpersteine placed in over 530 cities and towns across the continent. Wunderbar: Folsom Europe, A Boy Buttery Success

I am proud to announce an uber successful street fair, Folsom Europe on Fuggerstrasse in the gay neighborhood Schoneberg of Berlin. Despite some annoying mid day showers, (which always wash the sales away), but overall the entire affair was a total and success cause we sold out baby! Boy Butter already has many fans in Germany and for those who never saw my products before were educated about all the varied Boy Butter lines, if they understood english, and dazzled by our wide array of personal lubricants. The leather clad crowd was in great spirits, drinking lots of beer and snacks, and were luckily in a buying mood, cause we sold out baby! Thank you to all the fans, customers and exhibitors for a great day.

Willkommen Boy Butter nach Berlin

Well just arrived late morning to Berlin and it is so exciting. I am here to exhibit and sell Boy Butter from a booth at the Folsom Europe Street Festival this Saturday from 12 noon to 9 pm, so if anyone is around, please visit the Boy Butter Booth which located on the Lane 2, Booth # 15, (I included a layout map of the festival below). I have been as busy as a Berlin bee could be postering up the Gay village. I'm also, visiting stores and meeting friendly international out of towners and directing them to my booth. I am staying in a fabulous apt in the heart of the Gay Village, Schöneberg, and I planted my Boy Butter flag right in the heart of it all, just to make a point.

Check out some major Guerilla Marketing Photos:

This is the balcony of the apt I am staying at courtesy of my wonderful Russian friends from Moscow, Garry and Sergei. This flag is hanging above the most popular gay cafe and restaurant in Berlin.
I love that this is a poster friendly town,
cause I brought some posters along to spread the butter.
Old School BB Poster,
"Try Squeezing some into your tight Agenda today!"
The internationally loved "It's like Buttah" poster,
which always catches the wandering eye.

As promised a Map of Folsom Europe Saturday Sept 4th Noon-9pm
